Luc Tuymans - Studio Visit [video], 2007
Video , 00:18:54

In this video we see Luc Tuymans being interviewed by the Belgian art critic Hans Theys. Tuymans talks about the paintings of the show "Les Revenants", which started a few days later at the Zeno X Gallery in Antwerp, Belgium. These paintings were based upon imagery related to the history of the Jesuits and their founder Ignatius of Loyola. Tuymans also explains how he paints. The interview took place in a new studio, inaugurated just a few weeks earlier. Until then, Tuymans had always worked in a small, shabby studio he started renting in the eighties and which Theys had visited in April 1988.
