    Hans Theys ist Philosoph und Kunsthistoriker des 20. Jahrhunderts. Er schrieb und gestaltete fünzig Bücher über zeitgenössische Kunst und veröffentlichte zahlreiche Aufsätze, Interviews und Rezensionen in Büchern, Katalogen und Zeitschriften. 

    Diese Plattform wurde von Evi Bert (M HKA : Centrum Kunstarchieven Vlaanderen) in Zusammenarbeit mit der Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerpen (Forschungsgruppe ArchiVolt), M HKA, Antwerpen und Koen Van der Auwera entwickelt.     Visiting the sculptor Bernd Lohaus, who had been invited by Hans Theys to install his monumental sculpture 'Eupen' in a park in the town of Beersel on the occasion of the solo show 'Beersel, Eupen und Anderes' at the Herman Teirlinckhuis in Beersel. The sculpture remained there for three years, unspoiled by visitors. We see the artist in a tiny studio, lit by a hole in the wall and furnished by a writing table inherited from his father (who was a lawyer). then we see him flipping wood blocks and finally installing 'Eupen' in Beersel.
