Hans Theys

Hans Theys ist Philosoph und Kunsthistoriker des 20. Jahrhunderts. Er schrieb und gestaltete fünzig Bücher über zeitgenössische Kunst und veröffentlichte zahlreiche Aufsätze, Interviews und Rezensionen in Büchern, Katalogen und Zeitschriften.

Diese Plattform wurde von Evi Bert (M HKA : Centrum Kunstarchieven Vlaanderen) in Zusammenarbeit mit der Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerpen (Forschungsgruppe ArchiVolt), M HKA, Antwerpen und Koen Van der Auwera entwickelt. Panamarenko harks back in this work to his pedal-powered flying machines with insect wings from the early 1970s. The four-winged aircraft is powered by a pilot who tensions a spring by pedalling. When the spring causes the wings to flap
open, they continue to vibrate afterwards at high speed. Panamarenko drew his preliminary design for Big Quadru Flip-Flop in 1990, but it was not finally constructed until 1998.
